Mainly, this should not crash. :-) The baseline output file also should remain
empty, since Zeekygen's staleness test should conclude that it's sufficiently
fresh.
Two new BIFs get_identifier_declaring_script() and get_record_field_declaring_script()
mirroring existing functions for comments. This allows to query the declaring
script information from Zeek scripts and further determine if a redef operations
were involved for record fields or enum names by comparing the declaring script
with the one of the involved type. See the tests.
Yet another one of @stevesmoot's requests.
- Use `-b` most everywhere, it will save time.
- Start some intel tests upon the input file being fully read instead of
at an arbitrary time.
- Improve termination condition for some sumstats/cluster tests.
- Filter uninteresting output from some supervisor tests.
- Test for `notice_policy.log` is no longer needed.
For backward compatibility when reading values, we first check
the ZEEK-prefixed value, and if not set, then check the corresponding
BRO-prefixed value.
* origin/topic/robin/gh-239:
Undo a change to btest.cfg from a recent commit
Updating submodule.
Fix zeek-wrapper
Update for renaming BroControl to ZeekControl.
Updating submodule.
GH-239: Rename bro to zeek, bro-config to zeek-config, and bro-path-dev to zeek-path-dev.
This commit removed functions/events that have been deprecated in Bro
2.6. It also removes the detection code that checks if the old
communication framework is used (since all the functions that are
checked were removed).
Addresses parts of GH-243
This also installs symlinks from "zeek" and "bro-config" to a wrapper
script that prints a deprecation warning.
The btests pass, but this is still WIP. broctl renaming is still
missing.
#239
* All "Broxygen" usages have been replaced in
code, documentation, filenames, etc.
* Sphinx roles/directives like ":bro:see" are now ":zeek:see"
* The "--broxygen" command-line option is now "--zeexygen"
Disable broxygen when running unit tests (except for the tests that use
broxygen). On my dual-core MacBook Pro, this change results in the
unit tests taking about 13% less time to finish running.
Tests that load "frameworks/communication/listen" must be serialized
to prevent other tests failing due to multiple Bro instances trying
to listen on the same port.
Some of the examples in the scripting tutorial were regularly getting
out of sync with the base scripts (because the line numbering would need
to be updated). Fixed this maintenance burden by using small example
scripts instead of actual Bro scripts. These small example scripts
do not need to be kept in sync with the bro base scripts.
Removed "file_mime_type" and "file_mime_types" event, replacing them
with a new event called "file_metadata_inferred". It has a record
argument of type "inferred_file_metadata", which contains the mime type
information that the earlier events used to supply. The idea here is
that future extensions to the record with new metadata will be less
likely to break user code than the alternatives (adding new events or
new event parameters).
Addresses BIT-1368.
- Some scripts used wrong SSH module/namespace scoping on events.
- Fix outdated notice documentation related to SSH password guessing.
- Add a unit test for SSH pasword guessing notice.
