Add new syntax for adding and removing attributes from record fields:
redef RecordType$field_name += { &log };
redef RecordType$field_name -= { &log };
For now this only allowed for the &log attribute as the semantics are clear.
For &default and &optional the semantics aren't obvious and no use-cases have
been identified where those would make sense to change.
This enables a mechanism to add potentially interesting fields to the typical
Info records in base scripts, but letting users opt-into actually including
them into their log. At the same time, users that find specific fields in a
standard log uninteresting can opt-out without using `Log::Filter$exclude`
which can be difficult to use correctly. Patching or forking external packages
to remove columns from a log can also be avoided with this mechanism.
Closes#2000.
Due to the asynchronous behavior of the input framework and broker
communication, change handlers were previously called even after
zeek_done() event processing completed and also broker shutdown.
Accessing broker store handles within change handlers this late
triggered invalid Broker store handle messages:
error in ././my_option_store.zeek, line 13: invalid Broker store handle (Broker::put(Test::store, to_any_coercemy_option, to_any_coerceTest::new_value, 0 secs) and broker::store::{})
Fixes#2010
The core.load-stdin test checks Zeek's ability to read scripts from stdin.
core.sigterm-regular and core.sigterm-stdin verify that SIGTERM shuts down a
Zeek process during normal operation and while reading script content from
stdin, respectively. For technical reasons we don't test with SIGINT, as ctrl-c
would trigger -- see comments for details.
This could lead to a noticeable (single-percent) performance
improvement.
Most of the functionality for this is in the packet analyzers that now
cache ignore_chesksums_nets.
Based on a patch by Arne Welzel (Corelight).

The change in 44f558df7b that made analyzer_list
a std::vector instead of a std::list doesn't take into account that in some
cases an analyzer may chain back into itself, such as with UDP-in-UDP tunnels.
In these cases, the second call to ForwardPacket may cause iterator
invalidation, leading to a crash.
Use of --parse-only would previously exit before --usage-issues had a
chance to analyze scripts and report any discovered issues and it can be
useful to combine both flags for checking scripts for mistakes without
actually executing any code.
This also improves the behavior of --parse-only in combination with
reporting problems in signature files (previously, it exited before
even reading them).
Merge adjustments:
- Removed some stale str_split() references from docs
- Renumbered TypeTag enum comments
- Simplified test-case for @unload (don't need .bro files anymore)
